According to a report by Geek.com, Facebook is facing a class action lawsuit over its use of facial recognition technology. On Monday, a California judge gave the green light to a three year-old case accusing the social network of violating Illinois law. A 2008 state regulation known as the Biometric Information Privacy Act, which prohibits the collection or use of biometric data without precise public disclosure, is reportedly at the center of the case.
